Thank you for participating

We (the Bitcoin Design Community) had a designathon! Imagine a traditional hackathon, but this time focused only on design. Our goal was to motivate designers and builders to get together and collaboratively explore ideas and concepts in and around the bitcoin ecosystem. We coordinated with the Bolt.fun Legends of Lightning tournament and TABConf Builder Day, and chatted in Slack in the #designathon channel, and on Twitter.

It was a blast. Thank you to all participants for your creative energy and hard work. Thank you to all who helped make this event happen, especially our amazing sponsors. Check out the participating projects below.

Co-mingle

The designathon started at the same time as several other events. Those were great opportunities to meet others, find interesting projects, help out, etc.

Bolt.fun Legends of Lightning tournament

Enter your project into this 2-month online global tournament and compete for prizes of up to ~$60,000 in bitcoin. Or if you are already part of the tournament, use the designathon to get design support. October 12 to Dec 7.

TABConf

Stephen hosted a Bitcoin Design table at the TABConf Builder Day, which started the same day as the designathon. You could stop by and hack on your designathon project. October 12 to 15.

Bitcoin Amsterdam

Several members of the Bitcoin Design Community attended this conference, which also started the same day as the designathon. You were invited to say hi and kick off the events together. October 12 to 14.

Questions?

Who could take part?

When and where did it take place?

What did you do?

This was my first time joining a hackathon, was there help?

Looking for a project to hack on?

How were prizes awarded?

Was my idea appropriate for the designathon?
